Huge data flows that originate from astronomical observatories all over the world will be brought together by us. We will also develop new methods for ressource-efficient calculations. That is how we design the digital transformation of society in an environmentally friendly manner and simultaneously secure prosperity and progress.

Our mission is to support transfer of knowledge and technology and to share our knowhow. We work in closely connected regional, national, international, and interdisciplanatory networks. Thereby we will become a magnet for industrial settlements and an initiation point for spin-offs and start-ups.

It is crucial for us to inspire fascination for natural sciences and technology in young people and to elaborate the education of growing up generations ranging from kindergartens and schools over professional training up to universities. Thus we create sustainable perspectives for young people of the region and secure the requirement of skilled workers.

We will be a center with international importance that is closely rooted in the region and contributes to its identity shaping. Together with partners from economy, politics, civil society and the locals, we are advancing structural change.
